Job Description

Salary Range: $45.62 - $54.30

 

Full-time contract expected to end February 2027

 

Reporting to the Director, Organizational Effectiveness, Culture, and Transformation and acting as a key member of the Health Information System (HIS) project team, the Change Management & Communications Specialist supports the successful implementation and adoption of the hospital’s new HIS (Oracle Health).

 

Working closely with clinical and operational leaders and staff, the successful candidate will help execute change management, communications and engagement activities that prepare staff and medical professionals to transition to the new system.

This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is passionate about organizational change, communications and improving the healthcare experience through digital transformation.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Change Management

  • Support the execution of the HIS Change Management and Communications Strategy and associated deliverables
  • Leverage the HIS change network to support unit-level change management strategies
  • Coordinate change readiness activities, including pulse surveys
  • Monitor organizational readiness metrics and summarize findings
  • Support change x wellness champions engagement activities

Communications

  • Develop clear, engaging and audience-specific communications for staff, medical professionals and leaders.
  • Draft newsletters, emails, FAQs, presentations, talking points and intranet content
  • Coordinate communication schedules and maintain communication calendars
  • Ensure messaging is timely, consistent and aligned across multiple stakeholder groups

Engagement & Events

  • Coordinate planning and execution of engagement campaigns and awareness initiatives
  • Support development of educational resources and promotional materials
  • Assist with recognition initiatives that celebrate project milestones and adoption successes

 Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, communications, business administration, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in organizational development, change management and/or communications.
  • Experience supporting organizational initiatives or transformation projects is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence others, and work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders towards a common vision and goal.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging, visual, and informative communications.
  • Knowledge of change management principles (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter, etc.) is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment preferred.
  • Change Management certification or designation desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management concepts and tools.
